Today I get to turn an "ugly duckling" into a "swan". The top is a thin panel and the back is pieced with fabric that at least matches in colour.
These are materials that get donated to a group called "Helping Hands" in Pererborough. This amazing group of ladies do what they can to provide quilts to woman's shelters and children in need.
This quilt may become a security blanket to someone so I will do what I can to make it as beautiful as possible. Please think about what you donate. Would you be happy to receive it or give it to a loved one?
