Shipping Rates & Policies

How We Ship

At Kawartha Quilting & Sewing, we’re committed to getting your orders to you safely, quickly, and affordably—whether you're quilting in the heart of the Kawarthas or anywhere across Canada.

Couriers We Use

We ship most orders using CanPar, Purolator, UPS, or GLS, depending on your location and the size of your parcel. If you'd like to choose a specific courier, you can request one at checkout for an additional $2.

PO Boxes

We recommend using a residential shipping address whenever possible. Orders shipped to a P.O. Box will go via Canada Post, which may cause delays.

  • Batting cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
  • If a P.O. Box is provided for a batting order, we’ll contact you for an alternate address. If one cannot be provided, we will refund that portion of the order.

Shipping Schedule & Processing

We ship orders Tuesday to Friday. Orders placed before 12:00 PM EST typically ship the next business day.

Orders placed after 12:00 PM on Friday may not ship until the following Tuesday.

If we experience unexpected delays, we’ll contact you right away.

Shipping Rates

We offer flat-rate shipping within Canada and free shipping on orders over $300 (some exceptions apply).

Flat Rates:

  • Ontario: $9.99 flat rate under $300
  • Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec: $15.99 flat rate under $300
  • BC, NB, NS, PEI, Saskatchewan: $17.99 flat rate under $300
  • Newfoundland, Labrador, Territories: $19.99 flat rate (calculated shipping may apply—please contact us)

Exceptions:

  • Some oversized items may not qualify for flat-rate or free shipping.
  • Batting shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

Order Tracking

Once your parcel is shipped, we’ll email you a tracking number. Note that tracking may not activate until the courier picks up the package.

Backorders & Preorders

If your order includes a backordered or preordered item, we’ll reach out with an ETA and shipping options.

Local Pickup

Select “Local Pickup” at checkout to collect your order in-store. We’ll notify you when it’s ready for pickup during our business hours.

Custom Shipping Quotes

International Shipping

We currently ship within Canada only.
