This is a GO! Qube Replacement Die for the GO! Qube 8" Companion Set-Corners. Replacement dies for GO! Qubes are packaged in shrink wrap and are intended to replace the original die in the GO! Qube box set.
Half square triangles (HST) are one of the basic building blocks of quilting. The GO! Half Square Triangle-1" Finished Square die is a perfect example. To get a 1" finished square, sew two of these half square triangles together. For a 1" x 2" finished flying geese unit, sew two 1" finished half square triangles onto either side of a GO! Quarter Square Triangle 2" Finished Square. There are thousands of quilting patterns that include the HST. To ensure the lines are perfectly cut, use your AccuQuilt Fabric Cutter. How to Die Cut Half Square Triangles-1" Finished Square :
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.
- Cut a 2 1/4" strip across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 4" widths. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 40 triangles across the width of fabric. One yard of 40" wide fabric cuts 640 triangles.

Die Tips:
- With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
- Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
- Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
- It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.
