A 16-inch longarm workspace for seated quilting
The BERNINA Q16 PLUS Sit Down gives you room to move a quilt while you remain seated at the machine. Its 420 mm / 16-inch throat space, built-in stitch regulation and centrally positioned colour touchscreen support free-motion work from small motifs to larger quilts. Choose a complete machine-and-table package to suit the way you work.
Guide the quilt with regulated stitches
The integrated BERNINA Longarm Stitch Regulator uses dual sensors to monitor fabric movement and help maintain a consistent stitch length as you guide the quilt. Three BSR modes and a manual mode let you choose regulated quilting, basting or a fixed machine speed. The Q16 PLUS reaches up to 2,200 stitches per minute; this PLUS model is distinct from the standard Q16.
Keep controls within reach
The 4.3-inch touchscreen sits at the front of the machine, where you can adjust settings without moving around the table. Digital upper-thread tension makes settings repeatable, and five user profiles let you save preferences for different threads or techniques. Built-in tutorials explain machine care, while the stitch counter helps you track your work.
Set up thread and see the quilting area
Forward-facing threading, an integrated needle threader and an on-board bobbin winder simplify preparation. The M Class rotary hook and bobbins support longarm quilting. Fifty LEDs illuminate the throat space and needle area, helping you see fabric, marked lines and stitching. Electronic presser-foot lift and the front handwheel provide convenient access during setup.
Choose continuous quilting when it suits you
KickStart can run the machine without keeping pressure on the foot control. Activate or deactivate it on the touchscreen to match your preferred quilting method. Your hands remain available to support and guide the quilt across the table.

Select the included table
- Foldable Table — includes the Q16 PLUS machine and foldable, height-adjustable table. BERNINA lists a 119 × 88 cm work surface and working heights of 71, 76 or 81 cm.
- Horn Lift Table — includes the Q16 PLUS machine and the Horn Lift Table offered in the Canadian package configurator.
Both choices are complete sit-down bundles. A separate frame, Q-matic automation, ruler foot, twin-needle stitch plate, dust cover, spool holders, gripper rings, chair, and optional Horn shelf-and-leaf add-on are excluded unless expressly listed for the selected store offer. The Q16 PLUS can also be used with a compatible frame purchased separately.
